My family recently had the opportunity to check out the Grand Dinner Buffet at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio. Dinner is served from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
I was impressed with the selection for the entire family. There was the standard pizza, chicken nuggets, corn dogs and smiley fries for the kids and then plenty for the adults.
The evening we ate there were Alaskan Crab Legs and shrimp with Sauce Cocktail and Fresh Citrus. The Fresh Side of Norwegian Salmon with Tequila Lime Glaze over Rice was outstanding. While we didn’t try the Pan Seared Filet of Tilapia and the Prince Edward Isle Mussels, they were flying off the buffet.
My daughter and her friend (tweens by the way) liked the Pan Seared Breast of Chicken with Tuscan Vegetables with Balsamic Glaze and the Braised Barbeque Ribs with House Made Spicy Barbecue Sauce. Also offered was Filets of Sirloin and Chef Carved Garlic and Bourbon Eye of Round.
The Fresh from the Garden section featured Asparagus, Summertime Vegetables, Ceasar, House an Tomato Cucumber Salad.
The buffet did not neglect the sides as there were mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and plenty of vegetables. Last but certainly not least, let’s not forget dessert. There is a Vanilla and Chocolate Soft Serve Ice Cream Sundae Bar and Assorted Cakes, Pies and Cookies.
Adults (13 and older) are $17.99 and Children 4-12 are $4.99 with drinks included. 3 years and under are free with drinks included as well.
The quality and quantity of food was superb as well as the selection. You don’t need to be a guest at the Great Wolf Lodge to eat at their restaurants. If you dine late enough, you might even want to stay for story time in the lobby.
